Grok Bot Pricing (November 2026): Plans, Usage Limits and the Free Trial

By DoNotify Team • • 3 min read • 9 views

Grok Bot starts at $30 a month. It is not sold on its own. It comes with three tiers of The X Subscription: Premium, Super and Ultra. The cheaper Plus and Free tiers do not include it. Prices below are from x.ai's own docs as of November 2026.

Grok Bot plans and prices

PlanMonthlyYearlyGrok BotUsage
Free$0$0No
Plus$8$80NoBase
Premium$30$300Yes4x Plus
Super$100$1,000Yes15x Plus
Ultra$200$2,000Yes50x Plus

Paying yearly costs ten months' worth, so you get two months free.

Team and Enterprise pricing

Team plans cost the same per seat: $30 for Premium, $100 for Super and $200 for Ultra. You can mix tiers across a team, but Plus is not available for teams. Team plans add central billing, admin controls and usage analytics. Each seat has its own usage pool, so one heavy user cannot drain everyone else's.

Enterprise pricing is not published. It goes through an account manager. For what teams get beyond billing, see Grok Bot for business.

How Grok Bot usage works

There is no fixed number of messages or tasks. Each paid seat gets a weekly pool of usage, shared across Grok and Cursor, and Grok Bot draws from the same pool. Premium gets four times the Plus pool, Super fifteen times and Ultra fifty times.

  • The pool resets weekly. Your live usage view shows how much you have used and the next reset date.
  • If you run out, top-ups buy Additional Usage credits. You can set up automatic top-ups with a monthly spending cap.
  • Bots work on a cloud computer and can run for a long time, so one long job uses far more than a chat message.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The Grok Bot free trial is a usage credit with a 7-day window, not a set number of tasks. Credit you use is not given back, and the trial does not turn into a paid plan on its own. You can cancel it from the plan screen.

What about older Cursor and SuperGrok plans?

New customers choose from The X Subscription plans above. Existing Cursor, SuperGrok and X Premium plans keep working, and switching is optional, but once you switch you cannot go back. Paid Cursor plans, including Pro, Pro+, Ultra and self-serve Teams, include Grok Bot.

Will prices or limits change?

Probably. On November 1, Elon Musk wrote on X that the cost of serving Grok Bot was "unsustainably high relative to revenue," and said reducing allowances would be sensible. No new limits had been announced when we wrote this, so check your live usage view rather than relying on old numbers.

Which plan should you pick?

  • Premium ($30): one or two Bots doing everyday jobs like inbox triage and meeting prep.
  • Super ($100): several Bots, or routines that run every day.
  • Ultra ($200): Bots that work most of the day, or long research and coding jobs.

Start on the trial or Premium, watch your usage for a week, and move up only if you hit the limit.

Make your usage go further

  • Run routines from events, like an email or a webhook, instead of checking every few minutes.
  • Save repeat jobs as skills, so the Bot follows a set process instead of working it out each time.
  • Have the Bot tell you once, clearly, when something matters, instead of you asking it for updates.

That last one is where DoNotify comes in. When a Bot finds something urgent, it rings your phone and reads out what it found. DoNotify is billed separately and does not use your Grok Bot pool. New accounts get 14 free calls, and plans start at $7.50 a month. See DoNotify pricing and the AI agents setup page.
