The Best Google Calendar Add-ons in 2026 (and How to Install Them)
Google Calendar add-ons are small apps that open in the side panel next to your calendar. They add things Calendar cannot do by itself, without making you switch tabs. They are installed from the Google Workspace Marketplace, and most work on personal Google accounts as well as Workspace ones.
How to install a Google Calendar add-on
- Open Google Calendar on a computer.
- In the side panel on the right, click Get add-ons (the plus icon). If you do not see the panel, click the small arrow at the bottom right to show it.
- Pick an add-on, click Install, and approve the permissions it asks for.
The add-on's icon then appears in the side panel. Open an event and click the icon to use it. If you are on a work account, your admin may need to allow the add-on first.
The add-ons
We picked seven that each do one clear job. One of them, DoNotify, is ours, and we say so below.
1. Zoom for Google Workspace
Schedule and join Zoom meetings from Calendar. It adds a Zoom link to an event so guests do not need a separate invite. Best for: teams that meet on Zoom.
2. Microsoft Teams Meeting
Microsoft's own add-on for scheduling and joining Teams meetings from Google Calendar. Best for: Google Calendar users who meet with organizations on Teams.
3. Jitsi Meet for Google Calendar
Adds a free Jitsi Meet video link to your events. No account is needed to join. Best for: quick, free video calls without a paid plan.
4. AI for Google Calendar: Reclaim.ai
Uses AI to find time for focus work, tasks, habits, and breaks around your meetings, and shows analytics on how your week is spent. Best for: protecting time on a busy calendar.
5. ContactsFlow for Calendar
Shows the contact details of an event's participants and lets you edit or share them without leaving Calendar. Best for: people who meet many outside contacts.
6. Free Appointment Booking for Google Calendar
Lets clients book time straight into your Google Calendar. Best for: freelancers and small businesses taking appointments.
7. DoNotify: Voice Call Reminders (ours)
Calls your phone before the events you choose, and reads out the event title. You set it from the side panel on any event, from 2 minutes to a day ahead. It works when your phone is on silent and you would miss a notification. Best for: the few meetings and appointments you cannot afford to miss. Install DoNotify from the Marketplace. 14 calls are free.
How to choose
- Need a video link in every invite? Install the add-on for the tool you already use: Zoom, Teams, or Jitsi.
- Calendar too full? A scheduling assistant like Reclaim.ai.
- Taking bookings? An appointment booking add-on.
- Missing meetings even with notifications on? A reminder call. See meeting reminder calls.
Install only what you will use. Every add-on asks for some access to your calendar, so check the permissions screen before you accept.
